Procedure for obtaining an Investor Permit in Kenya
Kenya is a key investment destination in East Africa. Foreign investors seeking to establish businesses must obtain an Investor Permit, also known as a Class G Work Permit. Steps to Obtain an Investor Permit
1. Register Your Company
Register your business with the Registrar of Companies under the Business Registration Service (BRS).

- Obtain a Certificate of Incorporation (required for the permit application).
2. Obtain a Business Permit

Submit the following to KenInvest:
- Certificate of Incorporation
- Business Plan detailing investment scope and economic impact.
- Financial Proof showing a minimum investment of USD 100,000 (bank statements, investment reports, or bank letter).
- Certificate of Good Conduct from your home country.

6. Apply for a Work Permit

Renewal & Compliance
The Investor Permit is renewable every two years. Investors must maintain compliance with local regulations, including proper accounting and government reporting.
