When retiring or resigning from a partnership in Kenya, one must file an Affidavit of Resignation with the Registrar of Companies.

- Partnership name (This should be in the Certificate of Registration of the Partnership. )
- Effective resignation date (This is the date you retired or ceased being a partner in the Firm).
- National Identity Card

Process
- An Advocate can draft the Affidavit of Resignation – State your resignation, partnership details, and effective date.
- Sign Before an Authorized Officer – Sign in the presence of a Commissioner for Oaths, Notary Public, Magistrate, or Consular Officer.
- Prepare a Resignation Letter – Addressed to the partnership, outlining your resignation.
- Upload to the BRS Portal – Log in to e-Citizen, access Business Registration Services, and upload the affidavit and resignation letter.
